In 2003 I saw my first tiger in the wild at the Jim Corbett National Park … and it changed the course of my life.
Since then, I have traveled extensively all over the country to the call of my passion.
As my love for wildlife, photography and travel grew, I realized that my corporate time is over :-).
In 2010, I started Monkfoot Travels, a boutique travel consulting agency showcasing the Indian destinations. Over the years, we have developed a network of exceptional partners and suppliers who share our values in providing high-quality services to our guests.
While Monkfoot helped me showcase India, Wild in Soul helps me in sharing my first love – wildlife.
I love traveling and wildlife photography.

Having had the opportunity to construct a life in pursuit of my passions, in every decade of my adult years, my main desire now is that of furthering the cause of wildlife conservation. After studying and working in positions of strength in the US and Sri Lanka, I retired early from the corporate world to focus my skills and energies on trying to find ways of mitigating the human – elephant conflict, and of spreading the message of conservation to young people.
I currently serve as the Honorary General Secretary of the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society, the third oldest such non-governmental organization in the world just completing 128 years of campaigning for conservation.
My love for photography and the forests led me to start Panthera Lodge, an architect designed bungalow outside of the Yala National Park. I am also a Co-partner of Xtreme Nature Tours, a unique, premium camping operation in the forests of Sri Lanka. For I believe that if I could imbue the love that I have for the wild into the souls of my guests, then the message of conservation has travelled that much farther, and there is hope for the future.
